The Rotary Club of Gauhati South organized a Panel Discussion on “Contemporary Challenges to Peacebuilding” at Hotel Rajdhani Regency on 27th February 2026, marking Rotary’s Peace and Conflict Resolution/Prevention Month. Reflecting Rotary International’s belief that peace is built through justice, dialogue, and opportunity, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from members and guests.The session was moderated by Sri Prasanta Rajguru, Editor-in-Chief of Prag News and Rotary Peace Scholar. The eminent panel included Rtn. Manas Chaudhuri, Past District Governor (Dist. 3240) and Padma Shri awardee; Prof. Shiela Bora, Fulbright Scholar and former Professor, Dibrugarh University; Brig. Ranjit Barthakur (Retd.); and Rotaractor Babita Paul.The panel explored diverse dimensions of modern peacebuilding, followed by an engaging audience interaction, concluding with a collective commitment to strengthen dialogue and sustainable peace efforts.
