On 7 March 2026, the Rotary Club of Gauhati South organized a Free Eye Check-up cum Screening Camp at S.B. Deorah College in collaboration with the Health Care Committee of the college and with support from Centre for Sight Eye Hospital, Guwahati. The programme began at 10:30 AM with a welcome address by President Rtn. Priyama Goswami, who thanked Rtn. Bhupendra Nath Das for initiating the project and expressed gratitude to the hospital and college authorities for their support.The screening ran from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, benefiting about 87 people. Rotarians present included IPP Rtn. Chandan Rajkhowa, Rtn. Devajyoti Hazarika, Rtn. Dipak Bhagawati, Rtn. Minoti Barthakur, President Rtn. Priyama Goswami, Rtn. Renu Goswami, Rtn. Manjusri Baruah, Rtn. Dr. Priyam Goswami, Rtn. Rupali Kalita and Rtn. Kalpana Roy Singha. The programme ended with hi-tea hosted by the college authorities.
