The Rotary Club of Gauhati South celebrated Independence Day with a Flag Hoisting Ceremony on 15th August at Nandi Mikir Primary School. The event saw active participation from school children, parents, dignitaries, and club members, including Rtn. Rajesh Bhatra, Rtn. Manjusri Baruah, Secretary Rtn. Dipanwita Ghosh, President Rtn. Priyama Goswami, along with Rotarians, Rotaractors, Rotarylets, and local residents.The programme began at 8:30 a.m. with the Flag Hoisting, followed by patriotic performances by the children, whose enthusiasm brought special charm to the occasion. Chocolates were distributed among the students, spreading joy and togetherness.The celebration concluded with a shared sense of pride and renewed commitment to freedom, unity, and Rotary’s ideals of service.
