On 9th October 2025, the Rotary Club of Gauhati South (RCGS) held its annual Nation Builders Award Ceremony, honoring the dedication and service of outstanding educators. This year, 20 teachers received the Nation Builder Award, along with a citation, Gamusa, and the club’s souvenir Udayan. The event was graced by Dr. Jayanta Kr. Sarma as Chief Guest and Sri Apurba Thakuria as Distinguished Guest. Dr. Sarma spoke about upcoming government education initiatives and the vision to make Assam fully literate by 2026, inspired by Mizoram’s success. The ceremony saw 87 attendees, including Headmasters, Teachers, Rotarians, and guests. The program was led by President Rtn. Priyama Goswami and Literacy Chair Rtn. Dr. Indira Bardoloi, whose dedicated efforts made the event a grand success.
